Our yoga classes take place on a Wednesday morning on the lower ground floor at John Moore Sports, 2 Argyle Street (Pulteney Bridge) Bath BA2 4BA. We have a men's class, which runs from 8-9 am and a ladies' class, which takes place from 9.15 - 10.15.
The classes are term-time only and cost £10 per session. Whilst we don’t ask students to pay in advance for a full half term, we do ask that students commit to their place and let us know, if there are any weeks they cannot make, so we may fill the mat.
Jan Lunt teaches a traditional style of Yoga called Hatha Yoga, which focuses on stretching the whole of the body and working with the breath throughout each movement. She gives plenty of instruction and alignment to help you with each pose/posture and there are plenty of adaptations and props to help.
The classes are suitable for all levels of experience and we will start with the basics. Each week we will progress with new postures and challenges, which will increase flexibility, strength, boost energy and fire up the internal systems of the body. The aim is for students to experience a physical challenge, which stretches the whole body. The flow of the class and the use of the breath also has a direct clarifying effect on the mind, which enables students to switch off from busy lives. You should also leave feeling somewhat relaxed, as there is always a 5-minute relaxation at the end of the class. Jan’s style is light-hearted and hopefully fun!
All the mats and equipment are provided, so you just need to come wearing comfy sports clothes. Mats must be reserved in advance - please email Jan Lunt to book your place firstname.lastname@example.org. Unfortunately, our ladies class is currently operating a waiting list, but we do still have spaces in our men's yoga class.
